MEP Cost Estimation Engineer | Al Khobar, KSA Yamas Al-Arabia

Construction & Contracting is seeking an experienced MEP Cost Estimation Engineer to join their headquarters team in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. Job Details: Position: MEP Cost Estimation Engineer (Headquarters-based) Location: Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed cost estimates and pricing breakdowns for MEP works (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Fire Fighting) based on tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs. Review and analyze tender documents, IFC drawings, contracts, and scope requirements to identify potential cost risks, exclusions, and missing scope items. Perform accurate quantity take-offs and develop Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and detailed estimation sheets. Request, evaluate, and compare technical and commercial quotations from suppliers, subcontractors, and manufacturers to ensure competitive pricing. Coordinate with the Technical Office, Procurement, Engineering, and Project teams throughout the estimation process. Support value engineering proposals, cost optimization alternatives, and analyze the cost impact of design changes and variations. Maintain up-to-date estimation databases, rate libraries, and historical cost records.

Requirements & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or MEP Engineering.

Proven professional experience in MEP Cost Estimation within the construction and contracting industry. Strong knowledge of Saudi construction practices, standards, applicable codes, MEP materials, systems, and installation methods. Proficiency in Excel, estimation software, and AutoCAD (Revit/BIM knowledge is an advantage). Strong analytical, commercial, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
